About Capital C

A partner who has sat in your seat — and delivered the outcome.

Capital C is a boutique advisory practice working alongside CEOs, founders, and boards of small to medium private and ASX-listed companies in the technology and industrial sectors.

The work is always hands-on. Clive partners directly with each client — there are no junior teams, no templated playbooks, and no deliverables without a conversation behind them.

The practice draws on sixteen years of operating experience at the most senior level — building a company, listing it, growing it through multiple economic cycles, and ultimately unlocking value for shareholders. That lived experience is what clients engage us for.

What we do

Five ways we work with you.

Engagements range from a single board workshop to an ongoing advisory relationship. Each is shaped around the decision in front of you.

01

Strategic Planning

Cutting through complexity to define where the business plays, how it wins, and the two or three things that actually matter this year.

02

Investor Relations & Capital

Shaping the investor narrative, preparing boards and executives for capital events, and supporting pitches to institutional and strategic investors.

03

CEO Mentoring

A confidential sounding board for first-time and seasoned CEOs — the conversations you cannot have with your team, investors, or chair.

04

Board & Governance Advisory

Board effectiveness, director onboarding, and helping chairs lift the quality of strategic discussion around the table.

05

Execution Support

Embedding with leadership teams to turn strategy into operating cadence — rhythm, accountability, and the hard work of delivery.

Not sure which fits?

Most engagements begin with a conversation. Describe the decision you’re facing and we’ll work out together whether we’re the right fit.

How we work

A simple approach. Exceptional execution.

Every engagement is bespoke, but the shape of the work is consistent. The goal is to leave the business — and its leaders — demonstrably stronger than when we started.

  1. Understand the decision

We start with the question actually on your desk — not a diagnostic we've pulled off the shelf. One honest conversation usually reveals more than a two-week discovery.

  2. Frame the choice

The work is often less about generating new options and more about seeing the existing ones clearly. We separate the signal from the noise and name the trade-offs out loud.

  3. Partner on the path

Wherever useful, we stay engaged through implementation — workshops, board papers, investor materials, CEO one-to-ones. Whatever the decision actually needs.

  4. Hand back the keys

The aim is always to build capability in the team, not dependency on the advisor. We measure a good engagement by what the business can do without us afterward.

Start a conversation

The first conversation is always obligation-free. Thirty minutes to understand what you’re facing and whether Capital C is the right partner for it.
